Julia Steele Allen
Julia Steele Allen is a writer, actor, and musician born and raised in NYC. She has written and performed 7 different one-woman shows, all featuring original songs, and has performed them in theaters and festivals acrossthe country. Her rock-theater show A Boy Called Noise won the “Best Short Play Award” at the Downtown Urban Theater Festival in NYC in 2009, and she won the “Best New Performer Award” (2006) and the “Best Experimental Performance Award” (2010) at the San Francisco Fringe Festival. She is part of the two-person queer country band: My Gay Banjo, and is currently completing a science fiction trilogy and producing a documentary film.
